KFF Series Foil Strain Gages for Bending Strain Measurement
Kyowa
The KFF Series Foil Strain Gages for Bending Strain Measurement have one each sensing element on both the upper and lower sides of the thick plastic base. Thus, if a gage cannot be bonded directly to the inside of the measuring object as in the case of measuring stress due to internal pressure in high-pressure vessels or stress measurement in box structures such as bridge girders, the KFF series gages can be bonded to the surface to obtain strain at the rear. They are made of acrylate and use CuNi alloy foil as their resistive element. They have a self-temperature-compensation of 20 to 60ºC and an applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃) of 11,16 and 23. They are able to withstand strain limits of approximately 0.2% at normal temperature and fatigue lives at normal temperature of 4x10^6 (±500μm/m) times.
