The gage element of KFLB Series Low-temperature Foil Strain Gage/Gauge is made of NiCr alloy, which exhibits excellent characteristics under low-temperature environments and is sandwiched between polyimde films. Thus, the KFLB series gages are suitable for strain measurement of tanks and vessels containing low-temperature liquids such as LNG and LPG. It has a self-temperature-compensation of -196 to 50ºC and an applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃) of 5,11,16 and 23. It is able to withstand strain limits of approximately 2.2% at normal temperature and a fatigue lives at normal temperature of up to 1x10^6 (±1500μm/m) times. Besides the silver-covered copper lead wire, KFLB strain gages with pre-attached lead cables are available on request.
