KHCM Encapsulated Strain Gages
KHCM encapsulated strain gages/gauges are hermetically sealed. They consist of a sensing part and a cable to transmit output signals from the sensing part. The sensing part is composed of a metal tube and a flange. The highly heat-resistant metal tube has strain-gage elements and insulation material sealed in. The flange is spot-welded to the measuring targets. The key feature is it enables static/dynamic strain measurement at 25ºC up to 650ºC. To minimize thermally-induced apparent strain, the half bridge is configured with active and dummy gages. Gage length is available in either 5 or 10 mm. It has an applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃) of 11,13 and 16.
