The KM series embedded strain gages/gauges are designed to be embedded in mortar or concrete for the purpose of measuring the internal stress. To ensure better adhesion to mortar or the like, the KM series gages feature a specially treated surface. They also provide suitable waterproofness and elastic modulus for the intended purpose. They are made of acrylate and a resistive element of CuNi alloy. They have self-temperature-compensation of 0 to 50ºC and an applicable linear expansion coefficients (×10-6/℃) of 11. They are able to withstand strain limits of approximately 0.3% at normal temperature.
